Better then the original? I think so.

Frank did this cover for the Centrepoint "1969: Key to Change" Charity album, which was made to help combat homelessness in the UK. The rest of the album can be found by following the link below, and i highly recommend it, for a good cause and with some great covers on it.

Right, well that's the Ad Spot out of the way, here's the link:

  • @LSmithLUFC95 I never said that the Foundations sounded inappropriate :) My point was that better singing doesn't necessarily make a better version. Taste does.

  • @sfussenegger the foundations sounded frustrated in a very appropriate way! (not by shouting)

  • The original is my favourite song ever... Love Frank's unique spin on it, it's really good. I wouldn't go as far to say better than the original, but by god, it's up there!

  • @LSmithLUFC95 ever listened to the lyrics? whatever you call shouting is more than appropriate

  • No where near as good as the original, the Foundations sung it without shouting!

  • @deshwutat Irrelevant. You can't say an opinion is wrong. I think that this is better than the original. Now, you're telling me it's not, to which I reply 'it is' and you say 'it's not'. You can't bring facts into it, opinion is opinion. Outplayed.

  • some lovely pars down there well done frank is good but the original is god x

  • Okay, this is in no way, shape, or form better than the original. To say that shows ignorance, and I'm sure artists of his caliber would agree. A cover can never be BETTER than an original. Why? Because without the original, the cover would never exist.

  • Better than original? Not so much. It is a fantastic, original take on a classic song though. Equal in greatness for different reasons if you ask me.
