This is a totally new video that is NOT like any of my other video's. My wife got a fake check from a scam company trying to steal our identity. This is simply a warning video to others out there. I am tagging it with hopes that others see how real the fake money order from the United States Postal Service is. I'll be back later today with a gun video and range video coming tomorrow.

  • Hope you don't mind but i put your video link in my craigslist ad about scammers as I also did a scammers video about people who responded to my CL ad and wanted to send a money order but have someone pick up the product. I made my Dad and aunt watch your video on Thanksgiving day to make sure they know about this scam. My Aunt said she didn;t know that there were fake Mo's (she was a victim of identity theft a while back).. she does now

  • @msjifyournasty Heck NO I don't mind! That's fantastic!!! I think everyone should know this and I would like it to be my most viewed video. Nothing about guns but about saving your identity and money. I appreciate your comment and watching my little channel.

  • reposting this and linking it

  • @msjifyournasty Thank you, If it helps one person, It's worth it.

  • . My experience was a little different. The money order was made out to me at my home address. I signed up to be a mystery shopper for the 1st time.My husband started questioning this. I had an e-mail address for the letter. I e-mailed the "person" and asked a few questions. They never e-mailed me back, so I didn't forward the cash from the money order. I noticed today that the money from the money order had been deducted from my bank account. Now, I'm calling the FBI. Thanks.

  • It`s not just about identity theft. You will overdraw your bank account. I used to work at a bank and we had tons of letters like that. People deposited these checks to accounts and A MONTH letter, these checks come backs as NSF, but people already used this money....or you will get NSF fee from the bank.

Also as soon as you deposit this check to your bank account the owner of this scam check will know your account # and after some time money start to disappear from you bank account. Good video!

  • @claraAB1 Unless our government gets something out of it or lost something in the process, they couldn't care less. Unfortunate, but true.

  • @MonikaE23 I applied for secret shopper job on line, i receive an email from a person named Paul Edward stating that I have been accepted and my check and first money order will be on the way. I received the money order of $ 990.00 . I was asked to deposit the money in my bank and take $200 out as my pay and the rest to be sent to another mistery shopper . So I suspected something is wrong. the FBI will do nothing because I checked other posts in regard to such a scam.

  • I have a collection of these. For a year, I was unable to work so I would "scam-bait" the scammers. It was alot of fun making them pay for all those overnight fees

  • I am glad to see many folks like you take an active interest in shutting down Internet-based scammers. I once baited Nigerian scammers, but this was while I was in college. I can't do it now due to me having a DOD security clearance.

One of my most memorable scam baits was from 2007: groups.yahoo.com/group/anti-scammers/message/9431

I've since moved on to shooting. I recently bought my first gun: a Springfield Armory XDM .45 ACP. I'll definitely be watching your videos.

  • I hate the new receipts / money orders from the USPS. They are hard to right over the little silver strip and the receipt is a joke. It's not a true copy of your signature. In fact there is no place on the money order to place a signature other than printing your name in to From section.

  • i just got two money orders in the mail yesterday. they were in a flat rate mailing envelope, but there wasn't a letter or anything in there, just the 2 money orders for $975 each. I'm glad i watched this video cuz i forgot i got a money order last month and still have the reciept, and i compared the reciept to the money orders. thank god i didn't cash them, but my mother in law almost did today. sooo glad she didn't!!! i'm so glad i found this video!

  • I am a Ft.Mohave,Az. resident who is expecting a $5,000 chk from these Aholes(not @ my request)and I was trying 2 show my wife it was a scam when I found your video. Please contact me @ru2hi2c@myway.com. I have some ?s to ask you.

  • thanks for the video man you saved me from this scam
