Uh - Fat James. The Girlfriends WEREN'T white. It's just kind of odd, that you have this 'idyllic' video - beach bunnies, etc, but, they were black. It would be nice if you threw ONE picture in, say, a 'nonthreatening' image, of, oh Darlene Love, or Dionne Warwick, or....

This is a great tune that I don't recall hearing at all when it was out. I'm sure British Invasion had something to do with it, but it deserved to be a bigger hit. Steve

As djdavemick says re: Spector. This IS a GREAT Spector wannabe. In fact, on a couple of boots of such tracks (Wall of Sound-a-likes), I have from the late 70's, they feature this awesome track. Another amazing trck, that's similar - in more than havig the word 'boy' in the title is Merry Clayton's USHER BOY. It too features an amazingly fast drumline.

This guy looks like he is must be from my hometown, Leominster, Massachusetts. Looks like he is a Calamare !!! I am sure this is not true, but, man, he reminds me of some friends from growing up. So good to see.

@kookooboy Both songs were amazing. "For My Sake" would have made a great follow up record, one of the best b-sides I ever heard.
