Most of us get paid for actual work then have to put every bit of it back into the system just to live because of the inflation weakening the value of our pay but when those in higher places get their cut it's because the rest of us effectively gave it right back to them? Now what exactly do we get? They effectively keep every bit of theirs. It's sooo much harder to do better in America now than it ever was. jim cramer is a legendary scumbag. the social origins of a wall street banker are an irrelevant matter to what is at issue here considering their present wealth is largely generated by simply shuffling money around and then skimming off a transaction fee. that's not creating value; that's redistributing value into private pockets. .

What we ought to focus on is the 40+ percent in federal taxes that the not-so-rich-at-all self-employed, such as myself, pay. This percentage was sure to rise under Obama's leadership, and actions folks like Brzezinski propose would do nothing to change this. Focusing on the 5 percent does nothing but strip them of money they would use to buy goods and services whose production employs millions.

HOWEVER, to focus on this 5 percent is a DISTRACTION. So what? That's what you ought to ask yourself. You also ought to ask yourself: Does the sense of unfairness equal actual unfairness? Does actual unfairness actually equal objectively quantifiable unfairness? Are people losing their jobs because of the 5 percent? To say so is simplistic, which is ironic: Zbigniew Brzezinski is clever. I'll give him that.
