I agree with you 100%. My oldest daughter is like your brother and the youngest is like you. I punish, talk, take away, spank (whoop), and all of that and nothing works for her. Every child is different so for psychiatrist to feel that the same system is supposed to work for all children is crazy. I was spanked and 98-99% of the time I deserved it.These kids know that they can report the parents for spankings, so that's why the parents are scared and children are out of control.

*Stands up to applaud* Probably the most reasonable spanking video I've watched on youtube. I completely agreed 100% with everything you had to say. I was spanked as a child with hands, spatulas and wooden spoons and I never grew up fearful of my parents. Whenever I got spanked, I deserved it and my parents always explained to me what I did wrong to get spanked in the first place. And also, too many people confuse spanking with beating. I refuse to keep kids who are not spanked, whether they be my nieces and nephews or god kids. I won't do it. SPANK YOUR KIDS! They are not going to die from you giving properly spanking them when it's needed. You can't tap into the sense of little kids by talking. B/c of their maturity, sometimes, you just gotta tap that butt.

@Bluehawaiian925 "Hell will freeze over before I let my children walk all over me, talk back, disre" The problem is that people have this idea that there are only 2 choices---spank your kids or let them run all over you. Where they get that idea, I don't know. But there are people who raise respectful kids without hitting. I don't think it's accurate to say it's necessary.
