For the longest time I was unable to see rats as anything but unfeeling, dirty little rodents. A co-worker kept one in a cage on her desk. She always had it with her. it loved to sleep in the sleeves of a bulky hoody. I held it once and was shocked at how much personality they have

yes, enjoy them a lot, let them play outside the cage as often as you can and have patience at first when they are getting used to each other. Oh, and give them chunks of corn on the cob,(cooked), they love it!!

@makinen06 people such an unfair prejudices on rodents, even watching videos and the animal selves they would insist they're disgusting... so unfair... but glad that many smart ones can get over that and judge them by what they are, clean, affectionate, and loving pets

if someone tells you that rats are disgusting, show him / her this video, or emclient's other video. this rat is so cute !!. i have 2 young PEW female rats, and they're so hyper. they remind me of taz, the tasmanian devil.
