I don't suppose there's aaaany way to make this without deep frying? I have your wonderful book and love the healthy adjustments you make. Since I never tried mutiyas I wouldn't be missing any authenticity... I tried just frying chickpea and white flour and it didn't work. Not sure how to cook flours all the way through without deep frying.

@foodpuppie : We have heard of folks steaming the muthiya but have personally, never tried it so can't give much advice on the timing or the flavor... Do let us know if you do.
