Stan Savran will always be a Pittsburgh legend. Sad shame that we'll never see his show again though.
-
I remember all the years as a youngin watchin Sports Beat with my dad. I loved it. City of Champs for life.
-
Umm...ratings were low and the show is expensive to produce...it's not rock science fellas...
-
This is as retarded as the firing of Mike Lange. And of course, no explanation from those bastards down at Liberty Sports Media.
-
I met Stan twice, the first time I was lucky enough to be on the show and he "interviewed" me, and the second time he did a show @ the Heinz History Center
and after the show I stopped to say "hello" and he remembered my name
1 1/2 yrs. later! He's one of the reasons I'm proud to call Pittsburgh my home town! (I live outside of York, PA now in case anybody's interested!) Thank you, Stan and the crew! 6:30 PM won't be the same anymore!
-
there's only 6 interns at FSN and just by looking at my profile and seeing my name they would know exactly who i am. And like i said i dont know all the details.
-
write those emails..
BRING BACK STAN / SPORTSBEAT !
-
something is up with the parent company.
i'm not barking conspiracy or distaste on the part of any executives, but someone must be unhappy with something
mike lange and stan savran run out in a matter of 3 years?
i don't get it
and holy hell did i choke up with stan at the end of this clip
-
Yes, but if certain information is only known by a handful of persons, it really limits your anonymity from the other end, doesn't it?
-
You gotta love Stan, very sad moment.
as an intern of FSN, i see stan on a daily basis...he's a hell of a guy..class act all the way and very very good at what he does. Sucks he wont have this anymore
