All oil companies pay taxes. Forcing oil companies to lower prices would mean gas lines, rationing, and would badly hurt the economy. Instead of being bitter, you should consider getting a job...

The biggest Oil companies do not pay taxes. they write everything off. they should not be subsidized by the government. mostly republicans fault for that. and why woulf forcing oil comapnies to lower their price is a bad idea. It's not based on supply in demand, they just make it up. they got enough money. what are you a lobbyist for big oil.

Weak Democrats go along with corrupt Republicans to subsidize Oil companies. Most democrats aren't corporate stooges like Republicans. Obama could use and Executive order to force the price of gas to go down. Obama never does anything to benefits us liberals. when are you going to realize Obama is a conservative. Real liberals would do exactly what I'm saying. It's better to run out of oil and pump up production of electric cars.

@brandon98188 because it is not the oil companies that set the gas prices. it is government. listen to the shell guy in the video. the government is slowing down the production of electric cars to protect the uaw and through regulation. we'd all buy a tesla right now but they are too damn high in price.
if the government limits the supply of oil, it goes up in price. and thats whats been happening before the altercations.

Why do you conservatives always bring up the socialism card. Why is it o.k. that oil companies can gouge the public. Oil companies don't even pay taxes. Plus there slowing down the production of electric cars. I would tax all the oil compaines a 1 time billion dollar tax bill. no filing neccesary. just pay up. Even conservtives don't like paying high gas prices.

@brandon98188 you cant tell the oil companies to lower the prices because they are not set by them. that is a lie. your prices comes from supply and demand. if demand skyrockets then you start to run out of gas. what happens then ??? it becomes more valuable. if that happens the price goes up. you would be pulling the classic dicator idea and if you did what you really want to do, WE'D HAVE NO OIL whatsoever. when dictators takeover you have nothing left. like soviet russia had no food after
