Euro currency crumbling? part1 (09Feb10)

Part 1 of 2: The political project of the Euro currency is facing severe pressure in the international markets. With the PIGS economies (Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain), they can see that the project is a piece of garbage, and are attacking it to bring it where it belongs, on it's knees.

Maybe eventually the populations of the Euro zone will get what they wanted and were never asked for - their currencies back, especially the Germans who's politicians got rid of the mighty Mark for the sh1t Euro.

Greece could get out of the Euro, but then that leaves the Euro project weakened and then the speculators will have another go at another Euro country. The other European countries could bail out Greece, but that means those countries will have depleted their funds to protect their own countries economies.

If the speculators do it right. then the Euro project is f*cked!

Then the Germans will get back their much loved DM !

Here in The Netherlands the media was again propagating to only pay with a card. Cash less state. A Telephone company already started with only the option to pay with your pas. Also was there a article this week saying that the Netherlands and Germany wood have to let go of the Euro to save the Euro????

There is some crazy shit going on. Are they gone bring there one currency or perhaps a chip?

Yes, lets blame the "speculators." Never mind the politicians who have driven capital resources through loose credit and and directive policy to unsustainable investments. The value of production resources must ultimately be traced to consumer valuations--in this corporatist world, we can only trace them to politicians and the bankers who profit from them. The more they try to paper over this fact, the worse it will get. Speculation is the only hope at finding any real value in the fiat world.

@bacabu30 one day delusional americans and europeans will have to wake up & see reality. sometimes u have to work 16 hours a day or starve. people taught from birth that unbelievers can be used for forced labor & that forced sex upon an unbeliever cannot be considered rape are never going to be you friends. not everyone can always receive free medicine. not everyone can always go to university. life is often cruel & speeches by labor union leaders, however eloquent, will never change that.

@bacabu30 the fact of the matter is that in a world of billions willing to work for a few $s a day and no benefits u can't compete by working for 35 hours a week for high wages & demand retirement 25 years before projected age of death. in the real world there are times when diplomacy doesn't work & u must kill to defend yourself. in the real world some must go without. u can only borrow $ to bolster an unsustainable way of life for so long. one it will all come to an end.

@bacabu30 sayings things doesn't make them so. u can run around saying everyone has a right to retire at 60 all u want-if the resources don't exist then they have to keep working. u can run around proclaiming people's right to free education all u want. if the $ isn't there, it's just plain not there-people have to pay for their education. u can say the mullah omars of the world can be reasoned with all you want but ur words can't change reality.

@bacabu30 it would be quite odd if i was within days of completing work on an MA in history & never looked at a map. i've heard of those stats about how large percentages of americans can't find major nations on maps, don't know basics of math etc. etc. etc. oh well, i don't care what other people know or don't know; i don't think about other people's lives. i focus on my own life. i've devoted many years to study & the lessons of history don't speak well of Utopian policies.
