Ondoy Flooding

This was taken on Sept. 27, 2009 at Ortigas Extension near Lifehomes, going towards Cainta Junction. The flooding here was terrible, the worst in 40 years! The Police and other authorities were all out doing whatever they can to assist victims, but sadly, not enough were rescued in time due to stretched out resources. Many were still stranded atop the roof in their own homes, like being a prisoner in your own castle! We were trying to rescue or at least bring food to a relative living at Marieta Homes in Pasig City, who managed to escape with only themselves and the clothes they have and were stuck there since Saturday... But to no avail, our food items were returned by the good-hearted "Kanto" boys using a home-made floating banca because their location still can't be reached due to deep flood waters and very strong current. We'll try again tomorrow...

mas malala ang nangyari sa imelda ave. walang dumating na rescue amphibian. halos nakakapit kami sa mga poste sa lakas ng alon lalo na dun sa may village east, ang lalim ng tubig. may nakita akong ale na nakabitiw sa tali, nilamon siya ng pailalim na alon sa may creek. nakakatakot ang delubyong ito. nang mga time na yon, hindi ako makakain ng maayos...
