Found most of these clips mixed in with my videos of my kids... Greenport Scoot, An almost all parlor car train used as a regular weekday train during the end of the old stuff, An early NYA freight from 98' Testing of the DE units #400 with the cab car on the eastend. I worked in that building that had the rear parking lot right next to the LIRR tracks.

  • This looks like it was shot in the parking lot of Angelos Italian resterant in smithtown.. correct?

  • @inbocaru It was shot from the parking lot of 196 West main st. The Angelos Rest. parking lot is on the east side of the trestle. The place I took these videos is on the west side of the trestle. Both places are on the same side of the street.

  • wow this a AWESOME video and this is very AMAZING.

  • Glad to see that everybody is so happy about these clips, I'll dig out some more and post them

  • when was this filmed

  • Most was filmed in 1998. Ifyou watch closely the date is at the beginning of the clip edit. Only one clip of the stopped NYA freight train was shot in 2001

  • The GP38's were so much better than the stuff we got today!

  • GP-38s were some of the best passenger diesels LIRR had, but seriously I really hope CSX and Canadian Pacific will one day get granted track rights to run on LIRR property. It would look so cool seeing big blue and big red chugging through Ronkonkoma or East Hampton.
