Visit http://www.leadwerks.com and start making games.

A quick scene I put together in about 30 minutes. I placed the road nodes, then let the editor automatically adjust the terrain to the road height. The mesas could use some more smoothing, and there are a few bumpy areas in the road, but this shows how easy it is. There's also a couple curves where I should have used more tessellation in the road, but it's an adjustable setting.

  • Yeah, I'm kind of on the same question as conradhw, are the mountains user-created or did you use something else?

  • It's a heightmap generated in L3DT and imported into the editor.

  • @Leadwerks is this really hard to learn or if you practice with it will you eventually get the hang of it

  • @CamCon586 practice makes perfect. It's about as easy of programming as you can possibly get for games.

  • Josh, try to add Shadows on terrain(if not already done), if you could add speedtree integration later, plus your road and river system, omfg, this will be a CryEngine rendering brother!

    Cheers.

  • The trees in 2.3 render a lot more than SpeedTree, I think. You can have any number of trees.
