For the record I served in the Army; so I obviously support it.

Since you hate the Government so much and you think they should have no business in anything, I guess you don't support the army, navy, marines or the air force. I guess you don't drink clean water, drive on public high ways, enter public buildings, and use satellite communications, since all of that AND THEN SOME was implemented by the Gov't.

I'm a Junior in High School now so obviously I didn't go to College yet, and I do plan on going to a private college. Don't ASSUME, because you only make an ass out of you and me.

You STILL fail to see the big picture. The whole POINT of having a public option is to INSURE millions of Americans who can't afford decent coverage, and to lower rates.

By using your "logic" (if we can even call it that) then because you want a health care option, then you want the government to give you an option for EVERYTHING. That would include a federal taxi cab company, a federal hang gliding company, and a federal carnival.

The "option" would be uncompetitive by design, and run everyone else except them out of business...becoming not an option but the only choice left.
