Madelyne is the clone of Jean Grey created by Mister sinister, she was the wife of Scott Summers for a short period and had his son Nathan, who later becomes Cable. after Jeans return Madelyne went to the X-men for refuge but once her powers were at full use, she left becoming the goblin queen and swore vengeance on Scott, Jean, and the X-men. Madelyne is still alive and is now with the sisterhood of mutants

Madelyne Pryor is a great character, she was ruined after the Inferno soryline. This story was used to divert the readers attention from the fact that Scott Summers , Cyclops, abandoned her and their son , to go after Jean Grey, so who is the bad guy , Maddy, or Scott, or none? , a good solution would have been a divorce,. Remember Marvel s catch phrase from the sixties , heroes with real problems, a divorce is a real problem /solution in many ways .
