alot of people don't like the new weezer. personally i like their older stuff better but i really like this album too. they've taken their sound in a new direction but they still hold on to that "weezer-ish" style.
although if i wanted them to change one thing, patrick should get back on the drums. its just not the same without him there

Honestly, I just totally ignore people who constantly slander a band as they grow. I've heard it a thousand times with Metallica and many many other bands and now just put Weezer up there.

I know Rivers means a different kind of Daddy..
His daughter inspired the title... but wrote about something totally different giving a new meaning.
I'm just telling 'kiwieata' that the song has artistic value and means something at least...

@56corpses : sorry to correct you, but your assumption is incorrect. Yes, he loves his daughter, but he is speaking of a different kind of 'daddy'. Trust me, I swear i'm telling the truth. I wish I could say how I know - but I do.
You may interperate the song however you wish but I just gotta correct you.

this song def has hints of the old weezer....and everyone needs to realize that is ALL were going to get, hints....rivers isn't a twenty something emotional mess and they aren't a garage band searching for a hit single anymore, deal with it and if youre a real fan youll love their music because its them and everything theyve ever done has a certain attitude and spin on it that you only get from weezer, im sick of hearing people say they want the old weezer back, go find a new emo band if so....

Better live then on the album i think! Down to the core, it's a cool song. Raditude is all about having fun, and (especially coming from Alt-Rock greats), is that so bad?
