They actually use a real sword at times. Only someone very skilled can swing it, as they need to know if they need to stop it.

because he doesn't claim to want only authenticity... it would be a little gratuitous considering the way he is bilking people out of good money to lie to them about being ninja...
the man clearly has little concern for authenticity. he even protests that his taijutsu is related to ninjutsu...

Once while training with the British army I used my awareness and felt the 'enemy' behind some bushes lol it saved us some imbarasment. I have never been in a war zone but I know this skill is usefull. There are ways of learning and practising it.
