  • @chstultz who's to say what 'true' harmony is? your claim that just intonation is somehow 'better' than Western equal temperament is absurd. One system is not inherently better than another, rather, it is what one grows up listening to that decides what one thinks of as "musical" or "harmonious".

  • @Iacorel He based the tuning of these "toys" after ancient... SUPREMELY ancient instruments and tunings. They predate even the notion of classical. The intervals make more sense and are more consistent than the abomination of even temperance that you grew up with and that is merely a couple hundred years old. The single scale that you have been brainwashed with your whole life is in fact an approximation of true harmony.

  • SHUT UP AND START

  • @Iacorel I'd like to challenge you to differentiate between 'perfectly good instruments available' and 'toys'.

  • omg

When little kids play drums on pots and stuff, it's ok to like that, but if adults ignore perfectly good instruments available and think they need to improve the sound of complex classical music with toys, it's just pitiful!

  • wonderful percussion ensemble, very GOOD!

  • I like this!

  • One could even say Lou Harrison created the first new age/world beat music. Melding world folk elements with the music of the Euro tradition to make something utterly new.

  • @Louisscruz No I meant the other one....
