  • i don't get why everybody was so amazed that d. banner did an album like this. he always been way more conscious and skillful than your average rapper. the only thing that was a (pleasant) surprise is that he did a whole album with 9th, if u were shocked by anything besides that it's because u judged his earlier work on face-value.

  • Davis banner is the last rapper I ever thought would make music like this.. I fucking love it... Death of a pop star is gonna be one of those real classic hip hop albums everyone should own! I really hope hip hop fans don't sleep on this album, cause this is what hip hop has been missing... REAL HIP HOP!!!!! Enough with this dancing electronic sounding bullshit rap songs today!

  • @lsbright123 I know it's hard cause 2 a degree I think artists like Banner are still dealing with that same struggle they say 2Pac had, where they're trying to reach a particular audience with their message but in order to do that they have to make certain types of songs the single, then the majority judge them on those singles alone. I always respected DB's work because he always had songs on his albums with strong messages, thing is most don't know because most don't buy albums anymore.

  • @dawb86 man I got D Banners first album if you listen to it, it is deep I mean it has its club stuff d. banner is deep , when he came to South Carolina state people were not feeling him like that because they dont hear his stuff on the raido but , what killing rap and hip hop FEMALES they dont get it

  • Damn david banner is so damn cold, mixtapes shit downloading killed the industry ,no body takes a chance of different its all one sound, Ninth wonder truth

  • I wish DB went into depth of why Norfolk, Va was picked for the filming of the video. Brings back memories of when I went to school down there.

  • This embodies "real talk". No scripts, lyrics, list of questions, etc. Just straight words no chaser.
