Emssion theory of light seemed to be dead since Geaorge Sagnac explained his findings. But: Light is not a billard ball and George did not know what he was measuring. It was not the travel time difference nor the time difference until collision, but the difference of the paths of two splitted light beams (in wavelengths).
If one assumes that light goes without any medium then... there will be wave length signatures on all positions along the path. In short: Light must go all of the way.
Sagnac effect is not an effect at all. It s an amazing but clearly simple phenomenon.
