How to use stainless steel media to tumbling your brass in a Thumler's tumbler model B high speed. And get clean brass inside and out, as well as the primer pockets. Do all this in less then four hours of tumble time.
I have been using this method to clean my brass for probably 8 months or so now, and it's great! The tumbler is quiet, the media is reusable, and all the brass comes out looking perfect inside and out.
The only downside, in my opinion, is that I have to wait so long for the brass to dry. But with results like this I'm willing to put up with it. Great product.
I was seriously considering this method, even after some unpleasantness with previous aqueous cleaning systems that produced beautiful clean brass that instantly tarnished as the wet brass dried, but the video convinced me that the stainless method is great for not needing to ever replace the pricey media, but it's a lot of hassle and ten gallons of water to clean a relatively small amount of brass. I have a Lyman Turbo tumbler and it'll clean a LOT of brass in one run.
The stainless media is $50 but you never have to replace it!!!!!! Did I mention never?!!!!! After tumbling 1000 once fired military surplus brass in walnut or corn cob the media is so dirty I have to replace it, that adds up!
I have both and the thumlers tumbler with the stainless media is far superior and way cheaper in the long run. My brass was never this shiny or clean using walnut or corn cob. I think when the word gets out on this 99% of all serious reloaders will be using this method!!
I have to agree, AUDIO makes it impossible for people like me (hearing problem) to understand. I understood about 10% of your words. Also, was that 5 # of brass???? looked like 25 rounds???
To make a long story short: the best cleaning system, that ever a precision shooter can use for!It is working on those surfaces that a simple tumbler can not even touch effectively!!
I have the system, and i am extremly satisfied with it.
As i imagined : a micro hammering+rolling of SS cleans all the dirt and oxide.ANew LAPUA and NORMA is not that clean, like my brass after 6 firing!!!!
Wish there would be a double capacity one:-)(works cca 100 pcs of 308 at one runoff)I am from EU...
super expensive

I had the idea of getting some of this media to clean my 50bmg brass in my 18lb tumbler till I saw the price for a mere 5lbs. :(

Do you have to use this type of rolling tumbler? Can I use a traditional vibratory tumbler?
