Code of Hammurabi from Mesopotamia (about 1727 B.C.E., before Leviticus was written) has a phrase which translates, "to pour out his life-blood like water."

uhm, that analogy is faulty because the brain itself needs blood to function properly. Four minutes without blood, and it dies;

And why should it matter that blood is created from the bone marrow. When somone is in a car accident, and bleeding profusely, no body suggests we do something about his bonemarrow, we just give him blood so that he doesnt die. Blood is the essence of life; bonemarrow merely helps you create your own.

@si1vermane did you only watch 30 secs of the video? I demonstrated that blood is not the essence of life, for the fact that many living creatures do not require blood at all.

So not only is the "life is in the blood" thing not original, but it's also wrong like I mentioned in my video. HA and they keep on citing this as if it's some kind of scientific thing. Thanks for pointing out the code of hammurabi thing. That was helpful.

When presented with 'biblical science verses' be sure to check if they were original. Large portions of the OT come from earlier various ancient myths or stories. then proceed to prove that these verses are either no big revelation and something that was just common knowledge.

And of course, when debating be sure your opponent does not have an anti-evolutionary kit sold to them from the resurrected Billy Maze.

I dont know. You could make that argument. But keep in mind that the jelly fish doesnt have a heart, nervous system, or brain for that matter. Its practically a plant that moves. Speaking of which, plants dont have blood either. Blood is the essense of most life forms for all practical purposes. Search hard enough, theres always gonna be exceptions. but i guess the ones you mentioned are valid.

Blood is indeed the life because Jesus once said, "I lay down my {life} for my friends, and with my {life}, I can take it back up again". As a matter of fact, when Jesus was crucified on the cross, He shed His {blood} for us, which means that He gave His {life} for us. And the Bible clearly states that the sacrifice of {blood} leads to the remission of sins. And the wages of sin are death, which take our

{life} for good.

Be aware, because Satan loves to distort God's Word.
