@RunemasterHermod Agree. Tolkien could've been a bit more considerate in realising that it was obvious that Sean Bean was going to play Boromir ;)
But there's a frustrated part of me that would've love to have seen Boromir (in both book and film) taking part in the battle of Minas Tirith (no there's no way had he survived that he'd have fought at Helms Deep imo).

@supermorbid66602 Oh wait, there's one other; a horror set in Wales called "The Dark".

@sirwence ive read some of the books. why cant the movies be just as "real". anyway, the movies are what manage to capture the raw emotion of the story, even if the books are great too. many may disagree, but i find the movies a BIT better than the books. ps i never said he was a douche in the movies, youre reading way to far into this. he had good intentions and i know that, go back and watch his scenes again.

@12NadaSurf12 The Books make him look as he was intended the movies make him look like hes some ring hungry fool that he never was. the corruption of the ring effected him yes. But why dont' im glad you watch the movies - try reading the original REAL story. Wish more people would. There are audio books if you can't handle reading it or are too busy. See my above post~

In the books, however, Boromir was killed by many unknown orcs. In the books Boromir also fought alone against what Pippin believed was a hundred Uruks, causing them to flee numerous times. The books details that the weapons of at least a score of his enemies were laid at the foot of his funeral boat, even as he lay dying the uruks stood away from him shooting him with arrows rather than risk approaching the great warrior. ---Ya hes a Bawz

@RunemasterHermod i dont thnk ive seen a movie where he doesnt die lol
Though this was a beautifully done, yet tragic moment of Lord of the Rings, I'd love to see Sean Behan in a heroic role where he DOESNT die. Lol!

a true warrior, he can barely hold his sword up and he still persists, still fights until the very end
