i just bought a new canon power shot sx40 hs and if i wannted to plug in a boom mic to i wouldnt be able to cuz i cant find any plugs..do u have any ideas what els i could use??

The idea is to get as close as possible to talent without getting in the frame. This is the number one problem THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM. People think that's the idea of a shotgun so they can be far a way - that is not true. He makes a great point in that "H" position, that is correct and that last statement, it about getting close and then mixing and adjusting balances
