Songs: Hurt (with reprise and bombastic ending)Hound dog/Are you lonesome tonight Reconsider baby (complete Elvis on acoustic guitar)
Little Sister/Cant help falling in love Exit Karate Demo!

In the last days of 1976 Elvis Presley started a 5 days tour from 27 to 31 of December.
It began in Wichita, Ks (27), Dallas, Tx (28), Birmingham, Al (29), Atlanta (Ge) (30) and ended in Pittsburgh (Pa), for a new years eve concert!

Now, over 30 years passed those concerts are mythical!

Not only those were, by far, Elvis best tour from 1976, but those concerts showed the King in a Top From, and are ranked among his best 25 concerts from 1971 to 1977.

The New Years Eve Concert was absolutely Outstanding (much better than the Pontiac New Years Eve concert from 1975/1976 that was a very good show).
Elvis was on Stage for almost 90 minutes, with a stage presence that everybody thought he had lost, made fantastic versions, with a voice that was better than ever!

You cant really tell a highlight from this show, but the 1977 part is, for sure, among Elvis best Stage presences from the seventies! Trying to get to you, Polk Salad Annie, Jailhouse Rock (yes!), Reconsider Baby, Rags to Riches or Unchained Melody are unique, breathtaking, FANTASTIC! And Hurt is a show toper that explain why Elvis Presley is The King of Rock and Roll!
And in the end, like he had done the previous night in Atlanta, Elvis give us a karate demo tho bring the house down!

Ladies and Gentlemen, sit back and enjoy one moment in Rock History: The King Live on Stage in Pittsburgh (Pa), for a new years eve concert, 1976/9177.

Ill upload near 42 minutes of that concert, in 5 parts, with good image, nice edit and sound, and some fantastic close up shots!

Youll be able to see The King On Stage like you never thought it would be possible in 1976/1977.

  • For the most part it was some what entertaining. Not sure if all the breaks in songs where neccessary. Hats off to showing what fans may never have seen before!

  • I did not edited the concert video. I've uploaded it just as i have it with all the breaks. But my only point uploading this footage was to show to the fans, like you well said, something that they never saw before and also to prove that Elvis was not that bad from 1974 on. In this case he was stil very very good.

  • that is so rotten to say that about such a wonderful man

  • And eight short months later, he would be gone. So sad. Great to have this film. Long live the King.

  • @Chuckcaster You`re lucky! Elvis deteriorated after this show. His version of "Hound dog" was terrible, but the rest was great. Especially "Hurt"

  • @Chuckcaster This is Elvis and could not be different from the picture that he went to his audience, simplicity, generosity and charisma he had, the first time I saw a film of his that passed here in Brazil in 1959, and since then have not stopped to hear him sing and watch movies, I just regret not having seen his shows, more than just Elvis himself (Elvis alive)

  • THIS is way better than the 73 special and of course way better than the cbs special . i ts so hard to see how a person can be this way at the new yr and 8 months later be totally oppisite this is elvis at his best in the 70's al ittle over wieght ok but nothing like august ,and full of so much energy amazing i wish sombody would clean this video up and edit it and send it to cbs for a new special to air on new yrs eve that would be a great new tradition every yr on tv!

  • Couldn't Elvis afford another mic? What a Nimrod it wasn't planned!!!

  • I was at this show after they announced Elvis has left the building, Elvis and John Wilkerson got back on stage and did a couple of song on the acoustic guitars They played a great version of Early Morning rain to the hundred or so people who stayed . They did a jam session for about an hour with individual members of band. Elvis ended up on the piano singing to his girl friend Ginger.Best Elvis show ever.

  • One of the best shows Elvis did late 70's....thanks for posting the clips!!

  • The greatest version of "Hurt", Elvis ever sang. Just amazing...laying on the stage and singing like Pavarotti ...FANTASTIC!

  • For those complaining about this, or that, just go to 2.00 into the clip. Then ask any tenor, in the world to replicate what Presley does, as goies to the floor, while simultaneously holding that huge, 8 second B-4 note. That´s master at work. Incidentally, of the 73,000 professional impersonators I´ve yet to see even the best of them, some with even superior ranges to thta of Presley, to try that one.

  • WOW,THIS IS THE BEST I VE SEEN OF THAT TIME,ELVIS GIVES EVERYTHING...HURT WAS AMAZING..WOW...POWER,BUT, A LOT OF EFFORT ON HIS PART..THANKS FOR POSTING...THANK YOU...JUST GREAT.....LAST DAYS OF ELVIS AND STILL KICKING ASS...WOW.......

  • @fosterlink I would love to have been making what Elvis was paying Charlie. Also remember, he was probably top guy in Elvis`s inner circle. So he would have had better access to Elvis`s cars, bikes, and other stuff. That would have been worth not making much money. Elvis took good care of the people around him.
