@brandt5268 This is uki goshi in Judo, which I am sure you are aware, is the father of your style so much older than jiu jitsu. Jiu jitsu acquired this throw. Japanese Jujitsu on the other hand is the father of Judo. I had to add that in case you felt I was disrespecting jiu jitsu. Respect to jiu jitsu, and to you as well. If the hip was turned atleast another 30% it would be o goshi.

in uki goshi you are perpendicular to the uke (90 degrees from defensive posture) as in this throw. Yes half hip. If you turned more and had full hip, it would be o goshi.

Uki Goshi !!

O-goshi

this definetly an uki goshi. at o goshi u load uke completely on ur back and even can stop during the move without uke falling down.uki goshi is also not ROUND the hip as said, it still is koshi waza so u gotta lift uke slightly and NOT just hurl uke around. here are some vids of jigoro kano performing an explaining the throw (without words ofc^^) and there u can see it clearly.
and @brandt5268 that does not mean u are perfect as ur statement shows...

I'm going for a cross between uke-goshi and ko-tsuri-goshi
Thanks for the comments so far. I was taught to throw it this way and only recently realized it's not standard. I figure it will be good for discussion.
