@davethehostage Exclusive to Ipecac as far as I know. He was strongly advised not to do it by just about everyone. Artist can also choose to release as any of their albums on other labels if they want (unless it's been released on Ipecac first and the lease period isn't over).
Whoever is talking about pirating music here... my thoughts on it are that most of the time the musicians have day jobs and they dont rely upon the CD sales for their income. They just want people to listen to their stuff... if even that... most of the time its just to make good music and leave something behind. There are exceptions of course.
@AstronautJ No need to be sorry. I have to say though, I feel like you're being a little too harsh on those who pirate music. I've always thought that as long as the listener commits themselves to paying to see the band when a show rolls into town, they've done their part in supporting the artists. If I hadn't downloaded Oceanic to give it a try first, it's not likely I would've spent the money purchasing a CD/vinyl copy in the hopes that I may be into it. And I wouldn't have seen them live.
@davethehostage Not common at all among big business, but indie joints often genuinely do their best to help the actual artists. That's part of the reason I despise so called fans pirating this music. They do something awesome for the talent and us, then some people slap them in the face and steal it anyway.
@SatoriEarth Actually Ipecac doesn't own any of their albums. They only lease them for a couple of years or something and after that the rights revert back to the artists. It's a very unique and artist-friendly policy.
I love how this song builds up gradually to immerse you in the sound completely, and then blows your mind away, making you remember its greatness forever.
@eirikwegga Just another reason to respect Mike Patton, I suppose.

Sorry for the rant, lol.

@eirikwegga Really? Huh. Is that exclusive to Ipecac, or is it a common policy?
