Lost

I've been writing songs since I've been able to write. I even remember one of my first, if not my first, was called "Peanut Butter and Jelly" which I wrote in first or second grade. Either way this was the first song I ever actually finished and I thought it was a good one to put up after a year of making videos.


People didn't lie to me,
They never told me life would be easy,

How hard it actually was going to be.

Nobody told me to relax,
The things I was about to go through would be a blast,
But nobody ever told me how much,
Some things were going to suck.

I lost seeing my brother every day of the week,
Because his school screwed up over a stupid bully.
I lost more friends than I can remember,
And more tears over boys than I can probably count.

But worst than all my losses,
Was the fact that I was losing myself.]

I began to forget who I really was,
With all the rough times came change,
So when I looked back at whom I'd become,
I realized I wasn't the same Brianne Kane.

I was sad, I was angry,
I was a miserable wreck.
I wasn't who I wanted to be,
So I took a deep breath,
And I began to just be me.

And I lost Steven.

But the best thing that came out of all of my losses
Is the fact that I refound myself.]
