Title: SurfinUSSR
Composer/Artist: Benimaru Itoh
Comment: "This dude's hangin' 10 in Moscow. Kruto!"
Bugz used: Dizzy, Jo, Slaps, Sticks (Trumpet, Banjo, Bass Guitar, Drums)
This song obviously gets its name from "Surfin' USA" (A Beach Boys song) and the combination of both surf music and Russian music. Odd though, because Russia was no longer called the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in 1996, when SimTunes was made and this song was written.
Also, this song appears to be heavily based upon "Misirlou", a popular Greek song. That song is usually played in E minor, while this song in SimTunes is in C minor, likely due to the range of notes being limited to two octaves in a C-based scale. "Misirlou" may also have been referenced in the "Phineas and Ferb" episode called "The Lizard Whisperer" http://phineasandferb.wikia.com/wiki/Egyptian_Guitar_Solo
wow. who surfs in russia? they have the artic seas... and some pacific. not too much fun for surfing unless you're some gay ass penguin from madagascar

@Beutel2727:
I think you might be confusing two or three films with penguins in them. "Madagascar" had penguins from the New York Central Park Zoo who went to Antarctica, to Madagascar, to Africa. "Surf's Up" had penguins from Antarctica who travel to South Africa or New Zealand to surf. "Happy Feet" had dancing penugins that some people thought of as gay. (I saw no such thing.)

Well, one must admit that the title of "Surfin' USSR" is much more fun to say than "Surfin' Russia".
I have heard this somewhere before, but under a different name, on a commercial I think (With other instruments like an electric guitar and such). I dunno. Thanks for posting!

No problem! Expect much more in the future.
I'm not sure what other song you were thinking of, though... It's not like there's a SImTunes Wiki.
