i believe i have the same slip ons on my 96 the front pipe is kinda short where it meets to the header front pipe i push it up as much as i could and tighten it and there is no leak so i assume cobra made them a little short when it meets to the header pipe let me know if you encounter the same problem that way i know is a cobra defect thanks and your bike sounds great let me know thank you

@ToyoteroMan Its been quite awhile since i put them on (maybe 2 years). But I cant remember any issues, they went on very smoothly. Sorry I couldn't help. Thanks for the comment.
