This air traffic controller at Kennedy airport is always very happy on the job despite all the pressure and the stress.

This controller is still working JFK tower. You can tune in on liveatc.net and hear him in person, if you like.

  • lol it's probably the only two bridges in new york you don't have to pay to go over

  • I love this guy, totally unflappable and professional at his job. Most FAA controllers never get the rewards they deserve. That would be a cushy leather chair and a microphone at the right hand of God where Starbucks coffee is dispensed throughout the daily 1/2 hour shifts and the angels always know where to taxi.

  • i listen to a lot of JFK conversations.. and my question is... they have just 1 air traffic controller????? the voice is everytime the same eheh

  • lol...you wouldn't think he's working at one of the world's busiest airports. anyone know this guy's name? he reminds me of boston john

  • Thanks for posting this! Controllers can let the stress get to them an either get nasty or get friendly. I love this guy's approach. I'm a private pilot, and I had many good experiences flying through the VFR corridor between National and Dulles, especially as a student. (They treated student pilots like VIPs there! My instructor told me he always identified as a student.) But once I misread the AFD for MKE & contacted the wrong approach frequency. My ass is still sore from that chewing out!

  • @zxcvx45 Along with the former America West that kenadamsusa mentioned, their headquarters are in Phoenix, Arizona. An area well known for their cacti. Therefore, cactus became the call sign.

  • @hmfy Nah, it's fine. He can give that clearance as long as both aircraft are on the same freq. Safe, Orderly, Expeditious. He's being all of those.

  • @Mr123456778910 Um, you're wrong. Those are perfectly legal commands. I am an Air Traffic Controller.

  • @wompasdub it's almost true he said new york not new york city

  • @Mr123456778910 controllers say right or left as well as the taxiway name as well. "Left onto taxiway Bravo" this controller was telling the aircraft basically to just turn around, taxiway names were not needed. Not fake. and as kendamsusa said, go to live atc and you'll hear this exact controller workin the tower.

  • omg that guy voice iv heard it alot of times lsting to jfk tower XD

  • @Mr123456778910 say left & right can be used too why not? i see it ok. in SVMI ( venezuela ) sometimes atc when you land say "turn right Join F and C to international terminal"
