Replaceing a control arm on a postal LLV which is the same as a chevy S-10. It is important that you get the correct part for the side you are replacing. The LLV is right side steering so the drivers side on the LLV is that passenger side on a S-10. The GM part # 12376266 for the drivers side & 12376265 for the passenger side. The rubber bumper part # is 1362014

  • One of the absolute best videos for from suspension work on gm light trucks good job guys finally some one makes a video for two wheel drive

  • For those asking. Yes, you can replace just the bushings on this control arm. They get pressed in. (if you don't have the right tools, NAPA can usually do this for pretty cheap)

The stock ball joint is held in by rivets. Drill or chisel them out. Replace the ball joint and bushings and reassemble. The replacement ball joint will come with bolts instead of rivets. This video only shows the passenger side. The drivers side, the steering column is often in the way, and must unbolted and moved up.

  • Can you just replace the bushings, and reuse the control arm?

  • So the bushings were not abatable for this moldle? Thanks
