  • I never knew that the line should come off the spool in a certain direction, this could be why I always gets big bird nests an till the line has been cast a few times, great video. Will we be seeing any longer vids any time?

  • SAS - yes we'll be making lots of vids like this in the near future. Tips, advice, demos and your opportunity to ask the experts any question you like. See our website or watch this space...

  • Can only come off one way if you tried other way line would wrap back around the spool

  • Shimano should of taken a look at this video as there clip to put line on is a total joke!!! Ha ha!!

  • why don't line manufactures print labels with - "this way up" or perhaps arrows?

  • iluvfatchx is right, the line should come off the spool the same way it goes on the reel. if your reel turns counterclockwise then the line should come off the spool counterclockwise. If your reel turns clockwise the the line should come off the spool clockwise.

  • acutally has to come off the same direction ur reel turns, not neccesary always counter clock wise

  • Hey I've always wanted to try fishing and get into it, and so i finally bought a fishing rod, but i'm having some trouble. Would you PLEASE be willing to watch my only video and tell me what's up? I really appreciate any help. Thank you so much, i really look foward to going fishing

  • This is a great tip unless you have the Daiwa Twisbuster feature like i have on the Windcast Z.......then this makes this the wrong way!
