  • I do pretty much the same thing . Run my welder hot and spot as needed to keep from burning through. I use co2 shielding gas for the same reason and dealing with the splatter ain't that much of a biggie . A Dayton Welder ? I never used one of them . :)

  • Kewl! I get to be the first commenter.......(smile). I am learning how to weld (YouTube taught!). Thanks 4 taking the time to make this vid! I picked up a lot of great tips! I am modifying a flat bed trailer by putting "walls" around it, 2 ft. tall (2" x 2" square tube) with mesh wire (expanded metal?). It's lookin' great! Thanks again for the MANY tips! You helped my confidense to build. Please keep making vids!
