stop getting mad cus your getting your ass kicked by them

  • My 09 G8 GT is by far the best car/Value I've ever owned... AND with a full size rear seat, the faily will actually fit!

The Aussies got it right when they made the Holden Commadore SS... It's nice to FINALLY see a real car from overseas at a realistic price!

  • I'd rather have a G8

  • Every car has it's problems whether it be American, Japanese or German.

  • @chfpontiac If you get a chance google GM pontiac g8,g6,grand prix, bonniville and you will see that there is and was a massive class action lawsuit regarding the PLASTIC gasket engine components. GM new they were building flawed motors buy sold them to us anyways. GM can kiss my ass never getting another dime from me.

  • @chfpontiac The transmimission did let go .thank god it was under warranty and I'm telling you my man all the gaskets are plastic.Theres nothing like doing 5 or 6 hours of engine work to replace a .35 cent plastic gasket(three times in a year). No other car maker in the world would use suck cheap engine componets. Obviously they use silicone to attach the gasket. I bought the car because of the price and low milage at time of purchase. I'm tellin you dude if you own one of these dump it quick.

  • @liljonsp616 By the way, just curious...why did you buy the car in the first place? I mean, if you test drove the car before the purchase, wouldn't the "cheap interior" have been very obvious the moment you sat in it & "sloppy handling" obvious once you really drove it? If those things bothered you, why did you sign the purchase agreement? I knew it's shortcomings but also knew $29k for a $35k car was a steal considering there are exactly ZERO other $35k sedans out there that can hang with it

  • @liljonsp616 Sorry you have had such bad luck. I will agree the front end is suspect but a 4000lb car with a chevy small block that can dance with a BMW 5 series is no small feat. The "plastic" engine gaskets you refer to are silicone which is pretty much the norm for engines these days. It is not "cheap". The stock G8 engine is stout enough to 500-600hp without beefing up the internals. The transmission will let go before the engine itself. Modern Chevy small blocks are hardly "cheap".

  • @chfpontiac Thanks I did not know that. I owned this car for three years and just sold it two months ago for a loss. I got to tell you man this was the worst car I have ever owned. They cheaped this bad boy out to the max.Plastic head gasket plastic maifold gaskets, plastic gasket on every engine componet. What a fuckin joke. Then you get to the suspension which i found to be nonreposive and super stiff.Which cause me to break a tie rod every couple months. So Glad I sold my pontiac G8,

  • @liljonsp616 GM never stopped making them. They're extremely successful in Australia and Middle East where they're built. They simply aren't importing them to the U.S. anymore because the marque they were under was phased out. If they went with Chevy instead of Pontiac they'd still be selling them today. Keep looking in your rear view mirror...this car will be pulling you over to give you a ticket very soon (albeit with a 6" stretched wheelbase for the detainee cage and a bowtie in the grille).

  • @chfpontiac haha lol that made me laugh

  • @lilwinnie7 haha what do youlike best about it? the plastic gaskets? sloopy handling? cheap interior? How many times have you broke down in that piece of crap?Think about it .GM didnt stop making them because they were "great" cars.
