On the 13th of December 2008 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria animal rights activists marched through the main street of the city with a few stops along the way, blowing whistles and carrying animal rights posters. Hundreds of leaflet were handed out to passers by promoting the animal cause. We also raised our voices against the barbaric practices in the municipal dog pound in Plovdiv, otherwise called "isolator", where thousands of homeless animals suffer horrific deaths in the hands of their torturers. We hope that public awareness of the animal abuse situation in Bulgaria will eventually bring an end to animal suffering and exploitation.
