A short video showing the power of the CAT system that is now shipped with MAX 2011.
Video has 2x speed increase making the time it took around 6 minutes.

Rigging has never been more fun and easy :)

  • How can I access the bone inside the skinned mesh without selecting the mesh?! it's a pain to animate right now.

  • @Kinos141 select the mesh, right click, freeze selected.. done

  • Hi, just wondering if you knew if there was an option with the new CAT rig to add extra bones to areas such as the shoulder, elbow and knee to improve the deformationin the areas. cheers

  • @revefresh yes, there is also muscles in cat too

  • Question: I'm very interested in buying this program because it has looked absolutely amazing since I first saw it in 08. I've been studying animation, and is CAT built into it or do you need to install it from the subscriber area? -confused-

  • @ChineseEngineer cat is included in 2011 version.

  • hey when i try to move my shoulder bones it hides and then arm also hides but when i rotate nothing happens any solution please

  • @colbmista

when you have your rig made, click on your mesh that your rigging it to, in the modifier list click on "skin" and theres an option that says "bones" and "add", click on "add" and it'll open up a list of bones (the rig you made) and you select the bones, after that you adjust the envelopes.
