This is my take on the 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser set in a podcast. This was the first of many podcasts planned for the Curbside Auto Column's new web site (still forthcoming).

  • Nice video Tony. I bet you were thinking it would be a nice DJ vehicle.

  • I actually had planned to get one until I drove this one and realized that it got like 18MPG on premium unleaded. The fuel cost wasn't worth it. If they made a diesel, I'd likely have bought one but premium unleaded in a truck? No thank you.

  • hey tony how r u? just a quick tip... when u off-road always use ur 2 feet for ur 2 pedals i can see u used one foot cuz on 1:02 u c the fj roll back and in some circumstances that can be dangerous ;)

  • @bader175 Thanks! Honestly the off-roading was not as serious as it looked in the video - filmmaker tricks.

  • oh ok. but just use this advice if you go off roading again :)

  • @bader175 Will do! I'm planning to get some vehicles dirty soon.

  • Wow premium fuel only? That makes things more difficult :(

  • @edward500mp congrats they are great little suvs, i have an 08 blue, having tranny problems though a lot of slipping and the engine idles rough, bought it to toyota 3 times they swear theres nothing wrong so i may have to get rid of her, but damn will i miss driving in the snow, never once did i get stuck

  • Love my green 010. Getting 21mpg on the highway with 89 octane. Got it in January here in Ohio. Goes like a tank in the snow and mud. Never had a problem. It's a pain to wax near the plastic, but painter's tape helps. Mom is elderly, but she has ramped up her travels since I bought this, I think she likes riding in it. She never called much when I had the '03 Olds Aurora. Hmmm?

  • @balrais

    hhhhhh yes they are
