What is the film that you're showing ? Didn't even glimpse at the thrown screen . . .

I was a proji (hence my screen name) from 1958 - to 1974. South London mainly, but finished my days at ABP/EMI Elstree studios. I have been out of it for over 30 years now, but still dream about being in the box from time to time.

It's a shame it was such a waste of tax payers money the dome.

A misconception by most people is that the dome was built and run on tax payers money the fact is that its construction and entirety up until it closed to the public was funded by sponsorship by some of the biggest companies in the world and the good old National Lottery.

Brilliant! It really says something for the engineering of the platters when you consider you've got 25% more film running 15% faster than with 35mm. The motors must have incredibly high torque to attain running speed THAT quickly.
