Book title "De Verweesde Samenleving" = Our orphaned society.
1995 (original) by Pim Fortuijn, a Dutch right wing and populist politician who was shot dead on May 6, 2002.
This is a photosslide with - i think - appropriate (and) powerful music about his rise, physical fall ánd his heirs. About the latter: Up to today (summer 2007)
Why did the maker of this video put this ridiculous GERMAN music inder this video? Doesn't represent the vid....

The political program of Fortuijn had some real weak spots. Some examples are education and policeforce, both had to generate better results. 5000 policeman extra without investments in the policeforce aint that realistic.

How can you not be a supporter of his political views, it makes no sense to me.

Good video. Although I was not a supporter of the political views of Fortuyn. I rather had send him to Bush then Balkenende. Still funny to think how the War president should have reacted on a high educated gay politician from the Netherlands.
Next to that nobody should be killed because of his political views, although they may differ from the majority.

Wilhelmus Simon Petrus (Pim) Fortuyn (pronounced [pɪm fɔʁtœʏn], (February 19, 1948 -- May 6, 2002), was a controversial, openly gay, charismatic populistic right-wing politician in the Netherlands who formed his own party Lijst Pim Fortuyn (List Pim Fortuyn or LPF). He was assassinated during the 2002 Dutch national election campaign by animal rights activist Volkert van der Graaf.
