This is a video of the 2010-2011 McNeil High School Marching Band from Austin, Texas performing their show entitled If I Only Had... at the Kelly Reeves (RRISD) Athletic Complex ("The Palace"), on October 16, 2010 at the UIL Region 26 5A Marching Contest.

If I Only Had... was arranged by Daniel Montoya Jr. featuring themes from The Wizard of Oz in each of the 5 movements: A Dream; A Brain; A Heart; The Nerve; A Home (excluded in this performance). Percussion was written by Ian Smith and drill was designed by Pete Weber.

McNeil received a division 1 for this performance (along with every other marching band from group 5A is Region 26). Previous accomplishments by the McNeil Band from the time of this performance include receiving 3rd place at the Capital City Marching Contest in Austin and 7th Place in BOA Houston Finals (McNeil's 1st ever appearance in BOA finals).

  • @drummeralec yeah dude, look in my videos list, it's 2 above this one, it's the last video of the marching band. ancelet also posted it on the band website.

  • this is very very creative i love how the title of the show goes with the music pieces titles! in my opinion much better than Broken Arrows show "ZO" (same theme) it was fun to walk by yall at boa houston finals (Churchill marcher)

  • @ERCCRE123 Well, drumline doesn't have the same sheet music that everyone else has, so I can't vouch for the the music has printed on it, the pre-show and part 1 specifically has been called "a dream" as long as i can remember (which goes back to the end of last school year when montoya first sent us the midi's). on top of that, the "brain" is part 2 with the block and the short ride rip off.

  • @notanormalasn Well, if you look at the sheet music, the pre-show and part 1 are printed on the same page, with "a brain" printed at the top. I listened to it again and after performing it at every football game and competition, this is the first time i've ever heard the pre-show get called that.

  • I heard their colorguard was so good that everyone in the stands cried. True story.
