This is partly in response to YouTube videos about Dell customers abusing telemarketers, BT (British Telecom) customers abusing telemarketers, a crazy old lady accusing a telemarketer of being as bad as a rapist and causing miscarriages, a call center worker named Roberto calling a customer a "little girl, little girl," and so on. The call center worker addresses pet peeves and also offers a solution to help telemarketers empower themselves (such as a labor union.)

I definitely agree with what you've said in this video. As for the comments, they're pretty negative.. Maybe everyone who is writing a negative comment were looking for a telemarketing prank video when they found this. I agree that alot of shit comes with alot of jobs. But its irrational on the customers part to think that a telemarketer is a terrorist or criminal. IS IT not okay for a telemarketer to fight for some peace at their job? --which by the way sounds very rational.

crap comes with all jobs. cops, meter maids, janitors and telemarketers. as we all do, suck it up. nobody wants telemarketers to call them during dinner as they dont want cops coming to their door. Nobody wants a parking ticket. its just part of the job. deal with it or work at Wendy's. want to be a janitor? then you can deal with touching dirty toilets. it comes with the job.

It is always best to pretend to be interested and waste your time as much as possible. Asking to be put of a do-not-call list is pointless. You liars and thieves don't do it. Anything to do with telephone work gets outsourced these days, including telemarketing. As far as abuse in the workplace, try becoming a nurse or a nursing assistant. Collections agents get slapped around 100 times worse, which is why so many bad debts are written off and get bought up by low class bottom feeder collection agencies that resort to blatantly illegal tactics. I have to ask who is calling, especially if this person is expecting a real call and I can take a message.
