  • Press ALT+F1 (or CTRL+ALT+F1) type: sudo /etc/init.d/gdm stop type: ps3videomode -v 131 type: sudo /etc/init.d/gdm start if that works, then make it permanent by doing this . Open Terminal type: sudo nano /etc/event.d/ps3videomode in the file that opens write: "start on runlevel 2 exec /usr/bin/ps3videomode -v 131" Without the quotes Save the file, then reboot. Should now be fullscreen on a HDTV This WONT work for SDTV' and it will make your display unreadable. only use if you have HDTV

  • This is so cool. Xubuntu on PS3! I thought it doesn't run on PS3 'cause PS3 requires some special CPU arch software platform

  • Too bad itś slow as hell...

  • @mirrorsedge11 you set those up during the install of the OS

  • sony has deleted the support for linux in ps3

  • @mrgiggles984 no

parts of the ps3 hardware are blocked

    so no

  • @DavidPlim and QEMU since wine is made for x86 processors and qemu somehow emulates this kind of processor (as far as i know...) -_-'

  • how do u get a username and passsword?

  • yeah, you just need yo use WINE then it should work ok

  • what I wanna know is, can you boot xubuntu onto ps3. then get team fortress 2 running on there rather than having to play the crap unupdated ps3 orange box version. if not just say no.
