This movie is intended for a certain type of black american person, it would seem. It's not sophisticated or trying to be clever, it's just using a stereotype that probably still exists, and only the African American audience will get. If you'd like to know what the majority of cinema audiences think of Tyler Perry's films, take a quick glance on IMDB. The average score is about 3/10.

The critics dont like his movies because it not about sex, cheating, killing, how to take this guy girls or that girls man, stabbing, sex more sex etc. In this life if your different people dont like you, because your not of the norm. Tyler Perry's work has a message in his movies and plays that anyone at different stages of their life can take something from it/learn from. So as long as he keeps on that path he will continue to get my support. At the end of the day who are the critics?

DID ANYONE NOTICE: This guy only interviewed black people, even though you could see some white folks come out of the theatre too. Racism.

im reading most of these comments and i relised that alot of people are offended by the fact that this guy only interviewed black people. first of all over 90% of his fans are black, and has it ever occured to you people that maybe it was just by coincidence have you ever been to new york(bronx, new rochelle, etc.), there are many theaters with only black people bc of where they live. this guy could have been to a theater with only black people.. or there provably werent any white people there..

@saraisavampire No is not. More of Tyler Perry's
movies, it's about woman being a bused by some
pimp. And, no matter how a person is dressed, no
one does not right to hit that person, a woman or
a man.
I loved this movie along with a few of the old ones and I'm White. This movie was not about Black audiences., it's about a good movie. It doesn't matter who did it and who went to see it. It was a well-written, funny and at the same time tackle a serious issue too.
