  • Midnight Oil were probably one of the tightest live bands in the world. An this is one of my favourite songs. Head Injuries was a no nonsense and raw ..best album they ever cut.

  • I saw them live last night. Claimed to be their last gig ever and it was for the Sound Relief benefit concert for the Bushfire victims. They haven't played for 3 years since singer Peter Garrett is now a full time politician in the Australian government.

Last night, they were still as tight and as powerful as they are in this clip!

  • That wouldve been sweet,I heard they went off and brought the house down.

  • Split Enz and H&C were great as well.. but the Oils were magic. It was so easy to forget that he is in government now. The old Peter came out.

  • nzoz... u got koala sprint ?? this is Excellent BTW

  • I don't have Koala Sprint, however, there is another YouTube subscriber who has been putting up clips of this gig. I'm sure I saw Koala Sprint up here a while back.

  • turn up the volume

  • The greatest live performances and the most powerful music that brought about a new and better direction in Australian music. When I hear it reminds me of my youth and all the energy that I had a Midnight Oil gig.

  • Id kill to see these guys again

  • sung with garrett twice, was on their guest list 8 nights running,Constance (the tour manager honey, she probably still is, going back to 86), thought it was coz l got too many of Rob's drumstick's 13 in all and signed!! pulled me aside and said the band wants you too get on stage and sing with them!! True story! Saw em 11 nights in a row, although Smitty clocked up the 'dozen' " Legend!!!

  • head injuries = awesome album!!

  • Don't forget - he's just part of this play

  • Before Garrett SOLD OUT... The man in this video would never ever leave his beliefs, his intelligence or his pride at the door of parliment house WTF happened Peter???? As a member of the 80's Nuclear Disarmament Party I looked up to you and shook your hand in Newcastle because you stood for what you believed in, now I don't know what you believe in, do you?

  • Peter Garrett was a larger than life character when I was a kid.

  • @nzoz1980 was there too, it was AWESOME to rlive the buzz!!

  • The best place in the late 70's and the 80's to be was the aussie pub scene. I don't know how many times I'd seen these guys, can't count it, and every time they sounded better than the time before. My highlight gig of theirs was when I saw them in Alice Springs in 2000, with Nocturnal as back up band. One of my fav aussie bands.!!!
