From http://www.witness.org | "Awaiting Tomorrow" tells the story people living with HIV/AIDS in the war-torn Eastern region of the DRC and advocates for the provision of: free HIV/AIDS testing, medical care and medication, including home based care, nutritional and psychological support; outreach on testing and prevention particularly targeting youth; awareness raising and legislation to end discrimination against all affected people; and the building of infrastructure to make critical medical assistance accessible.

The Congolese government, supported by the international community, must comply with their international obligations to take all necessary measures to guarantee the rights of persons living with HIV/AIDS, including the right to health and the right to information on prevention, testing and treatment and the promises made through the Millenium Development Goals. • I hate you people,

Not the people in this video, but the people who reply to it. People like sankentsu say that this saddens them, and then they do nothing while moving on to their next form of entertainment.

    YOU SICKEN ME.

You people reply to these videos, and then the MAJORITY, not all of you but the MAJORITY.

Write letters to your federal and local goverments, spread the word on aids even if it results in discomfurt and unpopularity between you and your peers.

  • Hey, I'm white and I have done nothing but stick up for and defend everyone.

I apologize for the idiots on here. They are uneducated and stupid, and I'm SO sorry, from the bottom of my heart, that they treat you like this.

    You are better than them!

I wish I could stop them from saying those hateful things, but it's years of white-trash families that breed pigs like them.

Some of us have class and dignity.

  • Y'all are haters, sex isnt the only way to get AIDS! you dont kno how good you have it, go nd see what they are suffering from then lets see you talk.

  • Damn that's sad, I wonder how he got it.

  • Fifty percent of Africans have no sewage systems. Their drinking water mixes with animal and human waste. They have constant TB and malaria infections, the symptoms of which are diarrhea and weight loss, the very same criteria UNAIDS and the World Health Organization use to diagnose AIDS in Africa. These people need clean drinking water and treated mosquito nets [mosquitoes carry malaria], not condoms and lectures and deadly pharmaceuticals forced on pregnant mothers

  • Everyone has the rights to survive in the world ,but the discrimination made someone lose the rights and even the ignorance of government made them cann't live well.If possible,I hope people with AIDS live happily. And the people who has ability tolive well,I have an advice stdchatting, com for you to search someone the same with you.

  • if i were to hit the lottery, i'll anonymously donate to help the many of hiv / aids people of that beautiful continent...

  • Damn it I'm crying

  • So they fuck and get sick and we then send them money.. This has been going on for how long now? First they said "oh those africans aren't educated enough.." We should send them money to enlighten them about std's.

  • GiefSoul, people in Africa aren't that educated. They think that by having sex with a virgin, the AIDs would go away.

    Obviously, it doesn't.

Get your facts straight before assuming things.

  • Aids doesnt just come from sex, it comes from blood transfusions, and most of these people dont have the resources to get tested.

Their goverment doest step in, and the only assistance they get is from donors like us.

  • One question- Why dont they stop having sex?

They have too many kids, causes famine and what not.. and AIDS...
