Leap Year & When in Rome Trailer Remix

CLIPS: Leap Year, property of Universal; When In Rome, property of Touchstone
SONG: Just Say Yes by Snow Patrol

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY, EVERYONE!!!

When I saw the trailer for both of these January romantic comedies, I knew I would love the films, and Leap Year's trailer had a song I just had to use-- this Snow Patrol gem. The romance of the films and the song just fit so well together! I recommend seeing both films if you haven't already. :) Both are extremely romantic and When In Rome is VERY funny, too.

In this vid, I tried to use most of the footage from each trailer, hopefully presenting a bit of the plot of each film but also (especially toward the end) emphasizing the romance of each film. Here are brief plot synopses for each film, to make sure you're not confused by the vid:
Leap Year-- Anna (Amy Adams) expects her boyfriend to propose, but when he doesn't, she decides to follow him to Ireland to propose to him on Leap Day, an old tradition there. Her ride to Dublin comes from Declan (Matthew Goode), a good-looking local...do I really need to say the rest?
When In Rome-- Beth (Kristen Bell), a curator at the Guggenheim in NYC, has never been lucky in love, but at her sister's Rome wedding, she meets fellow New Yorker Nick (Josh Duhamel). She also picks up coins out of the Fountain of Love, and falls prey to a legend that says if you take someone's coin from the fountain, they will fall in love with you. With a group of men now after her, Beth wonders if Nick is for real.
I hope the bits of plot I tried to show (particularly the fountain and coin stuff) comes across, and I also tried to show some similarities between the two films-- the funny moment while dancing, etc. I used just a few effects here; mostly I just wanted to make something happy for Valentine's Day!

I also made a new intro! That butterfly graphic is from troyella0stories0, to be found in this vid (link is in description): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX4THe5NhXQ
And I use a Particle Illusion graphic that I THINK I got off Neo's Clip Site (I don't really remember! *blushes*)

  • Aww, VANESSA!! THANK YOU! You always have such kind words for my vids, I can't tell you how much that means to me! The very few loyal viewers I have, like you, keep me hanging on here on YT. You should see the films--with romantic comedies, the fun is in the performances and the escapism, not the originality! :) Thanks again!
