@kamilla1960 Or you could buy the Chaplin at Keystone DVD and see it in it's restored state, complete with missing footage and music that fits the film.

Probably best to turn off the sound for this...unless there's a print on YT with a more authentic soundtrack.

Chaplin's genius was not confined to the Little Tramp. The character he portrays in this movie is partly a precursor to his Monsieur Verdoux of 1946.

@Sactreats the worst is when they do talking over it...I have a copy like that. Luckily there is a theater nearby that sometimes plays silent films and has an organist...that was great!

sorry to commment again, but it kinda sounds like when chaplin was a guest conductor for the Abe Lyman's Orchestra
