  • Yes the O2 sensor can be used with the LeoVince Full System. Those who choose to install a fuel modification system like a PowerCommander or Bazazz can cap the hole with an included threaded cap.

  • @leovinceusa, when you get rid of the cat on the 09 R1 and have a power command, what do you do with the 02 censor? do you cut it off, do you zip tie it somewhere, do you just put it back in the hole even though it is not being used?

  • @r1sabotage

The Power Commander includes an O2 optimizer. The sensor stays in the pipe and the optimizer intercepts the signal and sends it to the ECU. Allows it to shoot for a target of 13.6 a/f instead of 14.7. Hope this helps you....LeoVince Out.....

  • COOL CANS!

  • @HCK530 Sorry for the delayed response. In the case of the R1 I would buy the full system. While the y pipe works very well the delivery of the factory system is exceptional and the sound is incredible. We have raced with Yamaha for 23 years in Europe and it is one of the best exhausts we build. I also know that we are currently out of stock on the Y pipes and will be for a few weeks. If you look around a bit you can probably find a decent deal on the R1 system right now.

Thank you so much for answering my questions.

I have another question for you. is there a big difference between the 3/4 system (slip-on+Ypipe), and the full system for factory SBK EVO2 carbon/carbon system? I am looking to buy the LeoVince exhaust system right now, and there is a big price differential between the two, I might end up buying the slip-on+ Y pipe since it's cheaper, but if you recommend the full system, I would probably wait and save up for it

  • @HCK530

This depends on the bike. In a few cases the factory and the CORSA exhaust are identical in other is varies on the bikes needs. It is not always about more airflow as you may need to create drive or a more linear power-band and this is done through stepping the headers and silencer. Modern bikes have either a throttle limiter or have the timing altered for emissions. The CBR1000 has 5 peak HP with a 5 degrees of advance. If I were racing I would always use an ignition and fuel manager ♦

  • @tfcalhoun

Does this still apply to the Corsa Full system? I'm assuming Corsa has more modification to pipe diameter and flows a lot more air compare to other full systems since it's a full track system, so FC gotta be a "must" for that system?

  • @HCK530

Yes it is not an urban myth! all kidding aside we engineer our products to work with stock fuel settings. We utilize around 350 cans just amongst our various street products and build and test each application. Yes you can add a fuel controller and probably better optimize your motorcycle but it is not a necessity in order to run our exhaust systems.

  • so is it true that fuel controller is really "optional" for Leo full system? Stock fuel map wouldn't cause any backfire?

    Thanks

  • Typically after install we will wipe down the tubes with a good carb/ contact cleaner to remove all fingerprints and oils before running the exhaust otherwise they will burn into the tubes and you have to scotch-brite them out which is a bear. Also do not use carb / contact cleaner on the cans or carbon fiber as it will streak on the can and could ruin your carbon pieces.
