Does anyone know what the theme song for this is, by any chance????

@ShaurntheSheep Yes. No 2 was recently put up for sale (I saw it in a advertisment in Steam Railway magazine). No 1 is on loan to the Colne valley railwaay in Essex.

i still have all these episodes on a DVD
is both locos C.D.P.S 1 & 2 preserved?
-
@Grecian81your right, i pass that viaduct every time i travel to and from college, about twice a month.
it's a shame really. if that line was still open, i could take a much more direct route to my college rather than having to go via manchester or birmingham.

three of the episodes can now be streamed on the bbc website.

ah great sill got that well done for loading it up but not with coal
Castle Donington power station is not there now

I think the viaduct is called Lowgill and it was a line that diverged off the West Coast Mianline up in the Lakes. I stand to be corrected just in case
